16th Release:
Very Fine Rare Bourbon: The bourbon includes liquid from barrels that are 17 years old and date to 2003, the year Chris Morris was named Master Distiller. Morris and McCall have been holding back the barrels to batch with other barrels for a special release. This year’s expression marks the 15th release of the Master’s Collection, which was created to honor the many discoveries and innovations that occurred at the 1812 distillery site where Woodford Reserve is now located. Starting with the 2020 edition, all future master’s collections will focus on modern innovation by Morris and McCall. Mashbill: 72% Corn, 18% Rye, 10% Malted Barley MSRP: 129.99
15th
Chocolate Malted Rye “The rye malt was roasted to a level that its natural sugars caramelized into a dark chocolate note,” Morris said. Mash Bill: 70% Corn, 15% Chocolate Malted Rye, 15% Distillers Malt MSRP: 129.99
14th Release: UPC: 5099873013427
A 2018 limited edition (14th Series) of the Master's Collection, this Kentucky straight bourbon uses the standard Woodford mash bill, and has been aged in specially selected American oak casks. These casks are made from Ozark oak, which has imparted a distintively spicy, nutty flavour profile. MSRP: 129.99
13th Release: UPC:08112800197
The Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Oat Grain Bourbon is the 13th release in the series. Mash Bill: 66% Corn, 18% Oats, 12% Malt, 4% Rye MSRP: 129.99
12th Release: UPC 081128001728
Cherry Wood Smoked Barley marks the 12th release in the Master’s Collection series, and showcases two unique deviations from bourbon norms. First, the malted barley used in the mash was not standard kiln-preserved malt, but dried instead using the smoke from burning cherry wood, a technique most popular with German brewers and barbecue pit masters. Mashbill: 70% Corn, 30% Malted Barley MSRP: 99.99
11th Release: UPC: 5099873008409
The Brandy Cask Finish is the 11th release of the Master’s Collection. For the 2016 Master’s Collection release, Beginning with Woodford Reserve bourbon matured in standard new, charred American oak casks, the whiskey is then finished in casks of American brandy for 2 years. Without a stated age, this brandy cask-finished bourbon whiskey is bottled at 45.2% ABV. Mash Bill: 72% Corn, 18% Rye, 10% Malted Barley MSRP: 99.99
10th Release:
30,294 Bottles produced. The 10th release of the Woodford Reserve's Master's Collection "1838’s Style White Corn" is triple distilled and made using white corn, rather than the usual yellow. MSRP: 99.99
9th Release:
For the 2014 Master’s Collection release, fully matured, cask strength Woodford Reserve was rebarreled in Sonoma-Cutrer (owned by Woodford parent company, Brown-Forman) French oak Pinot Noir barrels, where it spent another 10 months. The wine barrels saw three wine vintages before they were filled with bourbon. Once the finishing process was completed, the final product was bottled at 90 proof (the same as standard Woodford Reserve). A total of 36,334 bottles were produced for this one-time release. Mash Bill: 72% Corn, 18% Rye, 10% Malted Barley MSRP: 99.99
8th Release: STRAIGHT MALT: UPC: 081128065867, CLASSIC MALT: UPC: 081128065881
The Double Malt Selections – "Straight Malt" and "Classic Malt" whiskies – are suggested by Woodford to be the first fully matured whiskies crafted from malt in Kentucky since Prohibition. Triple distilled in the distillery’s copper pot stills, these malt whiskies are two separate 750 ml bottles which are individually numbered and bottled at 90.4 proof. 16,500 bottles produced MSRP: 99.99 EACH BOTTLE
7th Release:
As the name implies, Four Wood is a Bourbon with a unique finishing program. Standard Bourbon, finished in newly charred American oak, is finished in one of three different types of barrels: maple, Sherry wood, and Port wood. (Woodford has experimented with maple in a previous Master’s Collection release.) The three barrel-finished whiskeys are then batched together — the ratio is undisclosed, as are the ages of these bourbons and bottled as "Four Wood". MSRP: 99.99
6th Release:
TWO BOTTLES: The 2011 Master’s Collection from Woodford is called Rare Rye, and it comes in two formats: New Cask and Aged Cask. The former is aged in a new, unused cask (like all Bourbon is), the latter is aged in an ex-Bourbon barrel (time in cask is not disclosed). Otherwise the spirits that go into these bottles is made the same. Both are 100% rye and have the same bottling proof of 92.4 proof. The bottles are sold together: MSRP: 99.99 gets you a 375ml bottle of each.
5th Release:
This whiskey is one of the most unique Master’s Collection’s to date as it is the industry’s first bourbon to be finish aged in barrels made from sugar maple wood. Barrels play a key role in producing bourbon, with approximately 70 percent of the spirit’s flavor and aroma and all of its color provided by the barrel. Woodford Reserve’s new offering features bourbon finish-aged in uniquely crafted barrels made of maple wood, something never before done in the industry.

3rd Release:
This Woodford Reserve 1838 Sweet Mash is the fourth release in the yearly Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection. It was bottled in 2008. It’s the first international release in the range! The boys and girls over at Woodford Reserve distilled it using a sweet mash of fresh grains, as opposed to the industry standard sour mash technique, which uses parts of the mash from previous batches to maintain consistency.
2nd Release:
The second release Mash Bill: 72% Corn, 18% Rye, 10% Malted Barley
1st Release:
Woodford Reserve will expand distribution of its limited production Master’s Collection on October 1st 2006. While Four Grain was released to critical acclaim in Kentucky last Fall (2005), this roll-out marks the first time it is available for sale in 16 states. The bourbon, bottled at a 92.4 proof and individually numbered, 750ml bottle in major metro markets. Only 750 cases are available. MSRP: 79.99
BATCH PROOF RELEASES: 2018, 2019, 2020
Batch Proof, first released in 2018. The 2019's offering clocks in at 123.2 proof, and is uncut, unfiltered, and straight from the barrel. The mash bill, barrels, and aging process for this release are the same as the standard 90.4 proof Woodford Reserve bottlings. These barrels are then batched and bottled at barrel strength rather than being proofed down. The 2020 offering clocks in at 123.6 proof.
