Bourbon War (bottle) was named after a current racing thoroughbred. Bourbon War (horse) is a 4 year old colt who ran in the 2019 Preakness and 2019 Belmont Stakes.
Pinhook Distillery (although as a not distilling contractor) launched operations in 2014 with the first release called "Bourbon Courage", it is a 6year bourbon that was followed by six subsequent releases from the same batch of bourbon barrels every six months. "Bourbon Resolution", which was released in the fall of 2017, was the last release of those barrels/batch. Pinhook has also informed us on the launch of a rye whiskey - vertical series, with the first 50 barrels of 4year rye expected to be released in spring of 2020.
