Blanton's Green review by Frank Rathburn, posted by admin. Thanks Mark Conkling for the sample! Been waiting a while to check this one off my list.

Nose: Pineapple chew. Light toasted oak. Baking spice. Green herbal spice. Vanilla. Appealing but not standout nose.

Palate: Wood, vanilla, herbal rye, unplaceable sweetness. You can really sense the low proof here. I had to keep it in my mouth for a while to pull these flavors out and even then, it didn't burn. Super light palate.

Finish: Medium in length but short on flavor. The slightest bit of dried pineapple and baking spice. Fairly dry and weak.

Drinkable, super simple and light, no off flavors, no excitement. This would be a great bottom shelf buy but unfortunately it's only available outside the US and for a not-so-bottom-shelf $50 at that. The perfect gift for the Blanton's completionist or your classy friend who's just getting into bourbon.
