Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr Barrel Proof Releases

    E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof Batches and release dates:

     

    Colonel EH Taylor Jr Barrel Proof is the big brother in the new-ish Taylor Jr line from Buffalo Trace. Current Bourbon releases also include Colonel EH Taylor Jr Small Batch and Colonel EH Taylor Jr Single Barrel. There’s also a Colonel EH Taylor Jr Rye out there.

    So, the idea is we’ve got a barrel proof version of Buffalo Trace’s low rye #1 mash. This should make bourbon afficionados think about George T Stagg, which is also a barrel-proof bourbon from that recipe. The aging process is the main difference. Colonel EH Taylor Jr Barrel Proof is aged an unstated amount, likely around 7-8 years while George T Stagg is almost double that.

    Secondary pricing: values for EHTBP as it is known, range from 500-1200 depending on batch. Early batches are much sought after as people try to complete collections from releases back in 2012-2014.  Better reviewed batches/releases also receive premium pricing.
