Double Double Oaked
Double Double Oaked is the result of finishing mature Woodford Reserve Double Oaked for an additional year in its second, heavily toasted lightly charred new oak barrel. The extra year in the barrel creates a bourbon that is distinctly spicier than its original counterpart, known for its sweeter taste and finish.

The Rye mash distillate used in the Masters Collection had matured in used Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels. These continued maturing until 2017 when blended with the last four of the original Distiller’s Select Straight Rye barrels to create this unique rye whiskey flavor profile.

Inspired by the popularity of micro-breweries to explore malted grains typically used for beers when crafting whiskey, Five Malt’s distinctive flavor profile is established within the grain recipe and aging process. The five malts included in the grain recipe are 2 row, wheat, pale chocolate, kiln coffee, and carafa. To obtain the desired sensory elements, minimum wood exposure is required. Five Malt is a whiskey distilled from malt mash then aged in recycled Double Oaked barrels for a span of six months resulting in warming malt notes with a coffee flavored finish.
Color: Pale Honey.
Aroma: Rich malty coffee, caramel and chocolate notes lightly spiced with anise.
Taste: Toasted malt with traces of coffee, caramel, vanilla and soft oak explode with a burst of honeycomb sweetness.
Finish: Long warming malt notes with a hint of coffee linger on.
Frosty Four Wood is a unique batching of mature Woodford Reserve bourbon, aged in American Oak and finished in barrels made from Maple Wood, Sherry Wood and Port. The original Four Wood whiskey, the 2012 Master’s Collection release, was exposed to record-low temperatures during the 2013 Polar Vortex, resulting in flocking, or mineral precipitation. Filtration techniques produced a more fruit-forward whiskey with maple hints, which you can taste in every bottle of Frosty Four Wood.

Aroma: Full, with rich holiday spice notes and a dried fruit medley (fig, raisin, dried cherry, dried apricot) character with hints of maple syrup and coffee.
Taste: Warm and full-bodied with dried fruit character that layers over a nutty, spicy range of honeyed oak and maple syrup.
Finish: Long, warm, and spicy.

Sweet Mash Redux, with prominent fruit and herbal flavor notes, is not new to Woodford Reserve, who in 2008 released Sweet Mash Finish as part of its Master’s Collection series. While traditional Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select is a sour mash bourbon, modifying the fermentation process to include a non-soured mash creates a bourbon of higher pH effect and heightened fruit notes throughout.
Color: Burnished gold
Aroma: Softly sweet with delicate notes of anise, cedar and a subtle cassia bark note mingle with an overripe apple fruitiness. A malty shortbread note dusted with brown sugar and glazed with caramel combine to suggest a slice of Dutch apple pie.
Taste: Soft and sweet with hints of malt sharpened with a spice medley and cedar.
Finish: Subtle spice, oak and fruit notes gently fade in a warm farewell.
